| That greedy King believed it. He couldn’t wait to meet Lily. He invited her to come to the castle straightaway. When she arrived he took her to a turret where there was a bale of straw and a spinning wheel. He said, “if you can spin this straw into gold then you can marry my son” and with that he shut the door on Lily and locked it. Lily didn’t know what to do she paced the floor. She tried to find a way out of the turret. She even took a piece of the straw and tried to fit it into the spinning wheel but it just snapped. At last Lily stepped her foot in frustration. When she did that a little goblin appeared TADA just like that Lily was a clever girl. She knew a thing or two about goblins and one of the things that she knew was that they would do anything you asked if you give them something shiny Lily took off her necklace and she offered it to the Goblin. The goblin’s little eyes gleamed when he saw the necklace. He snatched it away from her and straight away Lily asked him to spin the straw into gold. |
